I’m sure most of you have heard of Ipsy – it’s a surprise bag for $10/month (no shipping costs in the US!) that includes 4-5 deluxe samples and/or full sized products to test all packaged in an adorable makeup bag.
You can also add-on additional products on the 2nd of each month ONLY – full sized products are $12 each (some of these cost over $60 regular retail!) and $3 for deluxe sample sized products. You can also earn points to purchase additional products as well. You earn points by reviewing the products and sharing via social media.
Here is my review on Ipsy’s March 2019 Glam Bag – I slacked off getting any additional pictures, as my three-year-old promptly began to apply the products on himself.
Goes on like a cream, stays light and smells like coconut (not overpowering, however). The cream is cool and goes on smoothly; absorbs quickly. I’ve used this little sample completely up – I applied it to my face before using makeup and it worked well as a primer. I usually use a different primer beneath my foundation to help smooth out my face. I wouldn’t spend the money buying this, just because I prefer other primers over this one.
I have naturally decent eyelashes and it takes just a little mascara to go a long way – this mascara wasn’t my favorite and I think it’s because of the applicator. The brush was bushy and large, I had to swipe several times to get the mascara to go on, and in doing so, left a smear on the top of my eyelid. I wouldn’t spend the money myself, as I prefer other mascaras to this one.
I use this pretty regularly, and the sample size is decent. I swipe it on my cheekbones and the tip of my nose and it gives a soft glow that makes me feel alive. I am super pale with green eyes and blonde hair so I have to be careful with products that are light, because I really don’t need to look any whiter than I already am. This highlighter, however, I enjoy.
Ciate – Lip Gloss
The color is pale pink, would look good layered over a darker color. Gives a nice glossy feel, but is sticky which I don’t like. I have it in my purse to put over my matte lip colors to lighten them up a bit.
Eyeshadow Contour Brush
I didn’t catch the brand, but I use this. It keeps the color compact instead of dusting all over the lid, this is used more in my crease where I want a defined accent color. I use this on the daily.
